In addition to selling through Facebook Pages, you can also sell products on Instagram now!
How to start selling on Instagram?
- Convert your Instagram account to a Professional Account (Business)
- Link Instagram account to Facebook Page (skip if already done)
- Open the Instagram App on your phone, go to Settings>Privacy>Messages in your account, and turn on “Allow access to messages”.
- Go to Shoplus Settings>Channels and connect to Facebook and Instagram.
Note: If your Instagram account is linked to a fan page that is already connected to Shoplus, you don’t have to create a new shop, but simply connect to Instagram.
Common problem:
Q1: After I connect to Instagram and start a LIVE broadcast. When the buyer leaves a message, there is no customer’s name, and the checkout message cannot be sent out. What should I do?
A1: Please make sure to open the Instagram app, go to Settings>Privacy>Messages in your account, and turn on “Allow access to messages” before linking.
Q2: I can’t see “Allow access to messages” on my Instagram app.
A2: Please change your Instagram Account to Professional Business Account and connect to a Facebook Page, then you can see “Allow access to messages.“
Q3: The buyer says he can’t receive my Instagram checkout private message.
A3: If you have turned on the “Allow access to messages”, please tell the buyer to confirm whether there are any message requests that have not been read.
